I've always liked these kinds of bracelets (I had a massive thing about Indian jewellery when I was younger...) but they were never really that popular...
I saw this one on Bonadrag which is so cute and was very very tempted to buy it, but then I thought I would have a go at making my own using some chain that was left over from a previous DIY. I'm quite pleased with the way the shape turned out but the colour of the chain is all wrong so I might try changing it somehow...How does one change the colour of metal? Burn it? Sandpaper it? I dunno...I'll find out and let you know...
*EDIT* Dont worry Winnie...turns out it can't be discoloured with fire nor sandpaper...
i like those bracelets too!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! There is something very elegant about hand jewellery
ReplyDeleteBonadrag is amazing, I wish they weren't so expensive though! I love the first one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful DIY; I prefer yours to the one in the first photo.
ReplyDeleteA unique piece of jewellery for sure. Not sure how I would discolour the metal though.
