Once again the new Kate Moss for Topshop collection has failed to light any fashion fires in my particular mind. Yes there are some nice pieces, but nothing too different or particularly fashion forward. Most of it feels very luxe with its dark colours and lashings of chiffony pretentiousness which is all very well in itself, but due to this seemingly uninspiring trend, most of the prices have elevated to more than I would be prepared to pay for a technically non- designer piece. It is a shame as I would happily wear a couple of the items but seriously...£60 for the obligatory boring tea dress which finds its way into every collection of hers?? £400 for a sequin maxi dress that one could really wear, erm, nowhere?? I think not...

I know what you mean about the prices!! I don't want to pay that much for Topshop quality. I do like the black cardigan though. not enough to go out and buy it, probably, unless it's reasonably priced and feels nice.

ReplyDeleteOh, the lace-y dress and knitted dress/jumper are very pretty.
