Yes, I am being a very crappy blogger at the moment but until my exam is done with on wednesday I'm not sure that its going to get any better! I'll post something good when I get round to it :)

Don't Look I'm Nude...

Now I don't usually look at the shoes on Asos as I know that they don't make them large enough for my troll feet but I was curious as to what they had online at the moment and I was pleasantly surprised...also a bit jealous of everyone with normal sized feet that could actually wear the shoes...

I'm a massive fan of nude anything I just really like how feminine it looks, especially twinned with a bit of chiffon a la my new Cici dress from Topshop. As everyone already knows, nude shoes do wonders for elongating the legs and go with pretty much anything. Alas when I needed to find a pair for a wedding I had A LOT of trouble finding some as the highstreet was pretty much void of anything worth wearing by way of nude shoes...If only I had looked as Asos I might have seen this lot and been persuaded to squeeze my feet into a couple of sizes too small, grinned and beared it, all in the knowledge that I was wearing pretty shoes:)

Rococococococo....

I was having a bit of a nosey into next A/W 09' s collections and Basso and Brooke really caught my eye. I don't know if it is down to the lovely sun that I am sitting in or my aversion to anything black in times such as this, but this collection stood out amongst the other macabre offerings. Not to say they weren't good offerings...just as I said before, aversion...(May I just add quickly here that Ashish is a serious exception to the dreary generalisation made a second ago)

The collection is apparently inspied by Louis XIV and the baroque and rococo stylings. The French king was nicknamed the 'Sun King' and this is very much reflected in the collection with digital prints in bright hues. Indeed, it looks like the Palace of Versailles threw up on some of the clothes, not that I'm complaining I actually quite like the over the top architecture of centuries past. The fabrics also exude regality in that by being of the same shine as satin, yet in regal colurs and expensive looking textures, they could pass as the crown jewels themselves...

To do the prints justice, the cuts of the clothes were kept simple, that is, shift dresses, trench coats and straight skirts and the like. Very wise I feel as I'm not sure it wouldn't look slightly too much had the prints been put onto a whole layering/frills/weird angles affair.

Guess Who...

Oh dear it seems I've been neglecting my blog recently...I will put that partly down to work. And partly down to my total lack of inspiration these days. I have decided to pull my socks up and do some proper research so as to keep this going...and dammit it will keep going! That's the spirit.

Right, to business...During the aforementioned research I came upon this little lot by In God We Trust. Based in NYC, In God We Trust owner and designer Shana Tabor brings undeniably creative sparkles to her line of Old World charm jewelry and clothing, such as quaint little brushed gold necklaces that have 'f*ck buddy' and 'lets make out' engraved in deceivingly cute scribe.

Now I must admit I do like a bit of equestrian detailing now and then, which is why I'd love to have the necklace and bracelet but even an equestrianophile must draw the line somewhere, and this girl's line is at berets and knee socks with little gold bits sewn on them. Oh. Dear. I'm having Blair Waldorf visions and thats never a good thing.

When I Should Be Doing Work...

As the title of this post suggests I was meant to be doing work all of today, but alas, certain laptop related setbacks ruined that particular 'dream'. And so instead I decided to do a bit of esty browsing. I found out about etsy not too long ago and to be quite honest I'm rather embarrassed that I never knew about it before.

I absolutely would kill for one of the Giia neckpieces (notably the light pink one seen on style bubble) but I'm not so sure that now, when I still have to pay rent, is the best time ever to be buying one. I actually have a sad face writing that.

I was doing a little search for headgear and I found these headbands from bethanylorelle's shop which I thought were worth a mention. I don't know what it is but I really like feathers on headgear. I'd never wear it to anything short of my own wedding but a girl can look non?

And my love of anything twee and cameo- ed was completely encapsulated in the headband in the last pic:). Still, I can't afford any of them at the moment. Damn.

The best I've seen on the high street are from Urban Outfitters but I really wouldn't pay £16 for a little feather clip. Especially from there, following an unfortunate incident with a faulty dress and a half hour stare out with the sales lady...

Look What I Found...

I saw some pictures of the London Alternative Fashion Week of April this year and these images really stood out...I love the colours and how bright everything is although I also wish I was brave enough to wear such attire!
Then I was compelled to do a little research into the designer which is a young Croatian guy called Zoran Aragovic. Hes apparently decided to launch his arty farty brand BiteMyStyle in London as the fashion shows in Croatia aren't great for getting money...
Anyway, I found the second set of photos in an editorial from Spanish magazine Hairissue which I loved even more than his actual collection which is a shame really....bit of a let down if you ask me...ah I jest! He said that he only made the second set for that specific issue and that it was 'Japanese harajuku fashion, full colourful, trashy, with lots of details'. I reckon they did good putting the false hair and colour on the models as it would have looked a bit odd with normal or preppy hair...

More Random Stuff I Wear...

Fiiinally I am getting out of my lazy trench and blogging some more...perhaps that is due to the threat of work if I don't do this. Ah the lesser of two evils. Anyhoo, despite it hanging on my wardrobe like a vague feeling of the Summer to come, I have only just this afternoon taken a picture of what my aforementioned maxi dress looks like so that I can put it on here. I tried on some rather high heels with this dress and it still touches the floor...and with its drapey demeanour and considering I was about 6 ft tall in the heels I really did feel like some sort of Grecian Amazonian hybrid. Good things come in big packages right? Of course;)








Aside from this dress I've been getting a bit happy with the ol' plastic and ordered a few things off ebay and asos and my wetlook (although how shiney polyester is quite wetlook I do not know) ruched leggings arrived this morning...voila:

I've got a Cheryl Coleesque cardigan on order as well and I really did not realise that that along with these leggings is nearly the exact look she very perfectly pulled off. HAHA I can't see it working so well for myself, not even if I was her teeny tiny size. Oh look at me and my self- pity...cry me a fecking river.
