Gold Star

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Got my Christmas decorations up! So excited this year as it's my other half's first Christmas (he's from Turkey) so I wanted to make sure we do everything properly and not half- assed like we usually do! We found a tree at the local charity shop for really cheap so we thought hey why not...why not is because it looked like it had a run-in with a lawn mower when we put it up. We just covered it in decorations so now it looks fiiiine! How expensive are decorations btw? Shocked, seriously. This is my H&M Christmas top. It's way too big for me so I thought a little nip and knot at the waist was the best way to go. As always, the TOTALLY AWESOME jewellery can be found at www.stonethemoon.com

Black Rock

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
Photobucket So excited for Christmas! Spent yesterday foraging in the woods for firs and pine cones for home made decorations (how people can charge £10 for a plastic star is beyond me...) Absolutely loved it. Our living room isn't looking too tidy at the moment though. I wore this black top yesterday to do a bit of potential present finding and quite liked the fact that I wasn't wearing jeans and fleece like everyone else in town. It probably wasn't too practical in this freezing weather but you just have to make it work don't you. I'm really into raw crystal jewellery at the moment and even though I work with them nearly everyday and have them in my shop, I still love to wear them. They are the perfect accessory for all the black I wear! I have upgraded from my old Etsy shop and got myself a brand spanking new website...all my raw crystals and druzy jewellery are now at www.stonethemoon.com Go take a look! (All items shown here can be bought in the shop)

I love finding the clothes which get lost through uni/home/new flat moves. The dress is from Gestuz, a Danish brand, which I found in Aqua in Leeds. Loved the colour, then went off the colour, now into the colour again. It just takes the right blazer.

Black Summer

Who thought I'd be happy to dig out a black long sleeve maxi at this time of year. Got to be the worst Summer ever.

Simple

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket This dress was a Christmas gift which I only just got round to wearing which is a shame as I actually really like it. Unfortunately, it doesn't look so good with opaques so when it was icy cold and opaques were (and still are) necessary, it was relegated to the wardrobe. It's so damn comfy and can be worn so many ways yet is so simple which is why it really appeals to me. I went to Copenhagen in February and a lot of the fashion there featured simple, clean cut clothes in this style and even though I filled my tiny suitcase until it was bursting with clothes from my trip, none of them have been able to make an appearance. Bring on the Summer... Ha Ha. All the jewellery can be seen here

Bits

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket This was meant to be an outfit post as I kind of miss doing them but the weather is just so terrible I couldn't step outside and I couldn't get enough light inside. Another reason is it was a black outfit before my cat jumped on me and now it's a white outfit. Oh well.
So instead here are some bits and pieces I'm wearing lately. Despite the crappy weather, the Summer bootfairs have started and I've been finding some absolute gems, such as the gold bracelet (about 30p) and this amazing bag (£1.50). I love boot fairs, I seriously go every week in Summer and I don't even care about giving up my Sunday morning lie ins to walk around a muddy field.
I've been majorly busy updating the shop but finally I'm done. I got sent some beautiful bracelets which I am kind of sad to see go but if I kept everything I love in my shop I'm not sure I'd have one left. I made some hand chains too and it's killing me not to wear them out too.

So I have been away for a looong time, busy with work and getting visa stuff sorted and what not, but I have come back for the foreseeable future and what better way to stage a comeback than to show you some of the newest items in my shop!

I've been quite busy sourcing some great items on my travels but I've also got right back into making pieces as well - all of the chunky chain spiked jewellery is my own and I think it's looking pretty good even if I do say so myself! Anyway, if you see something you like just click the link to the right and it will take you straight to the shop - there is a lot more in there than I've shown you here so go take a look! I can do custom orders as well so just ask if you would like anything in particular.

On another note , I just got back from seeing The Hunger Games. It was quite good and now I have an urge to climb trees and learn how to build a fire.
