Mint

Top: Ted Baker
Skirt: Topshop

It's been too long. Life has been hectic for a few months so blogging time has been non-existent. I find it's such a shame when you work so much you don't have time to feed your creative side...but that's life!
Unless I want to go and live in a commune, wearing hessian sacks and eating from compost heaps, work is what's got to happen.
I've been cleaning out my wardrobe/drawers/boxes/suitcases looking at what I bought in previous Summers. I found my silk and cashmere Ted Baker jumper in mint/grey. I don't wear it enough but it never seems the right time, and then it's packed away again with the hope of possibly making an appearance next year. Its so light I feel like I'm wearing a cloud. Yes, a cloud.

White Stuff

White and I are having a moment.

I've started making my own clothes so whilst I'm learning, the simple cuts of Spring's RTW collections are a godsend.

Floral Stuff

Getting some inspiration from the countryside and decided to wear my flower print shift dress. So easy to slip on and let the print do the talking. Trusty Stone The Moon necklace...will never stop wearing this thing.

Blue Swing

Cracking out my Monki dress. I got this in Copenhagen before Monki swam across the Channel and I was quite put out that I was having to leave behind a shop which I really liked and probably wouldn't see again. It was the same with Cheap Monday and Gina Tricot. It's fine now though because Monki (and Cheap Monday) have opened on Carnaby Street (a long time ago I might add...I'm not writing this to let everyone know like they opened yesterday...this is just where this post ended up going) and when I get the urge I go and see what's what there after work. I was really impressed by the shops in Copenhagen due to the fact that even though everyone is thin and, so weirdly, beautiful, they stock the whole range of sizes from tiny to massive. Something which the British high street could take note of.

The Pink Jacket

Got myself a brand spanking new jacket. Not my usual choice of colour but this stood out so much - for obvious reasons - that I was strangely drawn to it. It's a bit of an enigma though...it's bright pink so obviously for Summer...but it's thick and lined inside so too hot to wear on a sunny day/ any day which is slightly warm. This, however, is England, so how many good days are we realistically looking at this Summer?
New Stella McCartney bag. Love.

New Whistles Dress. I only ever buy their stuff in the sales but I do love what they do.

Grey Sky Grey Me

I first encountered Monki in Copenhagen last year and I loved it. So I was so happy when they opened a store in Carnaby Sreet as it means I can get a fix after work any day of the week. I took such an opportunity yesterday and this is what I came home with. I feel the colour of the clothes matches the mood of today, in the crappiest weather I've seen in a long time.
I've been crazy busy recently updated Stone The Moon with all the great new Summer pieces - the Abnoba Three Amethyst Necklace is one of my favourites (the short one seen here). I'm also branching out into beauty and have found some weird but wonderful middle eastern cult products to share. They'll be around next week!

Dress, H&M  Necklaces, Stone The Moon  Ring, Jeremy Hoye
This dress is from the H&M conscious collection and I was pleasantly surprised by it. I can't say I'm a fan of the collection in general and never really have been but this jumped right out at me. I bought it as a future beach dress but on second thought, I quite like it as a general summer dress.
The ring is from one of my favourite jewellery shops, Jeremy Hoye. They have a shop in Brighton and a new one in Tunbridge Wells and they have gorgeous pieces which are really different and pretty much exactly what I'm into. This ring never leaves my finger.

Gold Star

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Got my Christmas decorations up! So excited this year as it's my other half's first Christmas (he's from Turkey) so I wanted to make sure we do everything properly and not half- assed like we usually do! We found a tree at the local charity shop for really cheap so we thought hey why not...why not is because it looked like it had a run-in with a lawn mower when we put it up. We just covered it in decorations so now it looks fiiiine! How expensive are decorations btw? Shocked, seriously. This is my H&M Christmas top. It's way too big for me so I thought a little nip and knot at the waist was the best way to go. As always, the TOTALLY AWESOME jewellery can be found at www.stonethemoon.com
